Amuleti e talismani

Salve a tutti.
Non so quale sia la differenza tra amuleto e talismano.Comunque suppongo che per me debba essere meramente un atto di fede il credere che gli amuleti e i talismani funzionino veramente.Nell'Atharva-Veda,il quarto e ultimo dei 4 Veda,scritture sacre dell'Induismo,si parla di formule magiche,amuleti e talismani.
L'Atharva-Veda è visionabile (in lingua inglese) su www.sacred-texts.com/hin/av/index.htm dove gli inni sono raggrupati tematicamente e quindi non in ordine numerico.
Per quanto riguarda gli amuleti ho visto che nell'Atharva Veda se ne parla nei seguenti inni:
II, 9. Possession by demons of disease, cured by an amulet of ten kinds of wood
II, 4. Charm with an amulet derived from the gangida tree, against diseases and demons
XIX, 34, Charm with an amulet derived from the gafigpida-tree, aoainst diseases and demons
XIX, 35. Charm with an amulet derived from the gangida-tree, against diseases and demons
VI, 85. Exorcism of disease by means of an amulet from the varana-tree
IV, 10. The pearl and its shell as an amulet bestowing long life and prosperity
XIX, 26. Gold as an amulet for long life
X, 3. Praise of the virtues of an amulet derived from the varana-tree
X, 6. Praise of the virtues of amulet of khadira-wood in the shape of a ploughshare
VI, 81. A bracelet as an amulet to ensure conception
III, 5. Praise of an amulet derived from the parna-tree, designed to strengthen royal power

Per quanto riguarda i talismani c'è,nell'Atharva-Veda,il seguente inno:
VIII, 5. Prayer for protection addressed to a talisman made from wood of the sraktya-tree

Non sono sicuro che su quel link vi sia l'Atharva-Veda in versione integrale.
Un giorno di questi provvederò a tradurre quegli inni dell'Atharva Veda.
Certamente se qualcuno mi precedesse nella traduzione e/o parlasse di altri amuleti e talismani gli/le sarei molto grato.
